HOOVER, Ala.--Led by top-10 finishes by juniors Stephen Hill (Collierville, Tenn./Houston HS) and John Waldorf (South Elgin, Ill./St. Edward HS), the Christian Brothers University Bucs recorded their best-ever finish in the Gulf South Conference Championships.

The Bucs finished fourth, while the Lady Bucs finished 13th.  The top-10 finishes for Hill (sixth) and Waldorf (10th) placed them on the All-Gulf South Conference First Team.

As a team, the Bucs finished with 110 points, 12 behind third-place West Florida.  Alabama-Huntsville won the championship with 40, edging Harding's 48 points.

Junior Kelly Summons (Memphis, Tenn./St. Agnes Academy) was the first Lady Buc to finish as she crossed the line in 53rd place.  The Lady Bucs finished with 365 points, 17 behind 12th-place Delta State and ahead of Arkansas-Monticello and West Alabama.  Harding won the championship with 31 points, just ahead of UAH's 32.
