Bucs Finish Ninth in Region, Lady Bucs 22nd :: Hill narrowly misses national qualifying

MEMPHIS--The Christian Brothers University Bucs finished ninth in the NCAA Division II South Regionals, while the Lady Bucs finished 22nd.

Junior Stephen Hill (Collierville, Tenn./Houston HS) earned All-Region accolades with a sixth-place finish, but he narrowly missed qualifying for the national championships despite being the first American runner to finish. Hill's time of 32:37 put him just five seconds outside the individual qualifiers.

Florida Southern won the men's team title with 61 points, followed by Tampa and Alabama-Huntsville in a tie for second with 103. The Bucs earned 242 points.

Tampa won the women's title with 40 points, followed by second-place Harding's 55.
