MEMPHIS--Junior Jeff Kinney (Germantown, Tenn.) finished second place as the Christian Brothers University golf teams wrapped up the CBU Spring Tournament Wednesday with the Bucs in third place and the Lady Bucs in 6th.

Kinney tied West Georgia's Nelson Alvarez for medalist honors, but Alvarez won the playoff to finish first. Kinney and Alvarez both shot three-over 73 each round for a 146 final score. He helped UWG pick up the team prize, as they bested Montevallo by 29 strokes. CBU finished third, while CBU's "B" team finished fourth.

In the women's tournament, Henderson State's Jenna Chadwick shot a nine-over 79 each round to earn medalist honors with a 158 score. Arkansas Tech won the tournament, defeating HSU by 11 strokes. West Georgia finished third, followed by Harding, Montevallo, and CBU. Cayce Densford (Millington, Tenn.) was CBU's low scorer, shooting a 202.

CBU's golf teams will travel to Magnolia, Ark., this weekend for the Southern Arkansas University Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
