Oct. 27, 2007

Final Stats

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.--A 54th-minute goal by senior midfielder Ryan Peel (Mission, B.C./Hatzic Secondary) gave the Christian Brothers University Bucs a 1-0 victory at Alabama-Huntsville Friday afternoon.

The Bucs (10-5-2, 3-2-1 Gulf South Conference) clinched third place in the GSC with the victory and will face No. 17 Montevallo next Friday afternoon in the GSC semifinals.  The Bucs lost 2-1 in overtime at Montevallo earlier this month after losing by the same score in last year's GSC semifinals.

Junior goalkeeper Daniel Foster (Gallatin, Tenn./Gallatin HS) made six saves as he earned his eighth shutout of the season.

The Bucs out-shot UAH 13-12 for the game. CBU will finish the regular season Sunday afternoon at Signaigo Field against Crichton.
