Final Stats

MEMPHIS--Harding jumped to a big lead early in all three games on their way to a three-game Gulf South Conference West Division sweep of the Christian Brothers University Lady Bucs Tuesday night at Canale Arena.

The Lady Bisons (21-8, 9-1 GSC West) won by a close margin in all three games as CBU (10-20, 0-10) rallied but couldn't finish the comeback in any of the three games, with HU winning 30-22, 30-28, 30-23.

In the opening game, HU jumped to an 11-4 lead. The Lady Bucs pulled as close as three points, but HU stretched it back out to win 30-22. In game two, HU led 27-16 before CBU scored 12 of the next 14 points to close within one at 29-28, but a Katelin Parks kill snuffed out the rally. In the final game, HU again jumped out to a 17-8 lead. The Lady Bucs came back within four at 27-23, but Harding would score the final three points for the win.

Freshman outside hitter Michelle Hein (Tempe, Ariz./Corona del Sol HS) led CBU with 14 kills. She also collected 11 digs, which ranked second behind junior libero Bridget Buckley (Parker, Colo./Chaparral HS), who had 18.

Manuela Nesheva led Harding with 21 kills, while Leah Tepe collected 49 assists. Meredith Rosenbaum added a match-best 22 digs.

The Lady Bucs will be back in action Thursday night as they visit Arkansas Tech at 7 p.m. CBU will return home Saturday, Nov. 3, to host Arkansas-Monticello at 1 p.m.
